The below comment was posted by Catpride on the Soccer post, and I felt it needed more exposure and some comment.

Another close loss for the V-squad 1-0. Few people know it, but Wesco North Soccer is one of the toughest leagues in the nation (according to AP HS soccer club rankings). 4 teams in the league are as of last week ranked in the top 20 nationally. The boys were extremely close to knocking off 3/4 of these teams so far during league play."
Catpride has a point that needs expanding. I checked on the WIAA site, and out of the 15 games played so far, the Cats have won one, tied one and lost 13. However, over half of those losses were by a single goal. In only 6 matches this year have the men lost by more than one goal, and only two have been complete blowouts. The soccer guys have been competitive and have been in every game, but haven't yet found that spark to put them over into the win column.
The question is, then, what's missing? What's keeping the guys from scoring that one extra goal to send the game into a shootout or at least a tie? What do YOU think?
