In Everett, the Wildcat Freshman beat the Everett Seagulls 28-18 after being down 18-6 in the 3rd quarter. Of the 4 touchdowns scored, one was by Nick Ferrell, two were by Justin Everett, and quarterback Matt Burgoyne scored on a keeper from 15 yards out. The team recovered two consecutive kickoff fumbles by Everett, and Owen Irwin intercepted a pass to shut down the final Everett drive.
Coach Esvelt liked the defensive play he saw. He commented on the "Strong D by Edward Denmon, Hunter Vail, Kewawn Brooks and Brandon Stratton."
Next up for the Freshman team is a home game on Wednesday against Archbishop Murphy's freshman team.
