New Scholarship Opportunity

Starting this year, the Oak Harbor Sports Report is sponsoring a scholarship in the amount of $500.

This scholarship is intended to reward those athletes who showed a commitment to OHHS Athletics and at the same time maintained high academic standards.

The recipient must have attended OHHS for all four years of high school and completed at least two seasons in a sport for each of those four years. You need not have won a letter or started, you just had to have completed the full season.

You must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, 3.5 is better.

You must submit a 500 word essay entitled "How Participating in Athletics Has Made Me A Better Person".

5 finalists will be selected based on the application, GPA and essay and will be contacted for a personal interview.

Since it's late in the school year, for this year only the deadline for submission of the application and essay will be May 1st.

Letters of recommendation from teachers and/or coaches are not required but may help.
