The boys golf team had an off first day at the District 1 boys golf tournament Monday at the par 72 Everett Golf & Country Club. Monday's scores will be added to Tuesday's scores to determine who goes on. 14 players will advance to state.
As expected, Jackson HS is first in the team standings, with 5 of 6 players shooting in the 70s and a team score of 375. Kamiak is 2nd with 379 and Arlington 3rd with 402. Oak Harbor is currently 7th with a stroke count of 421.
Individually, Cascade's Anthony Chiarelli is listed in first place, tied with 2 others at 71.
Judd Ford, the highest placing OH golfer, shot an 80 to tie with 7 others. Ford is currently listed in 26th place. Also in the top 40 are Austin Fields with an 83 and Matt Fikse with an 85.
Greg Martin (86) and Jim Nguyen (87) are both below the cut line.
