Youth wrestling kicked off the 2010-2011 season with the annual Whidbey Wildcat Salute to the Veteran's tournament at OHHS on November 6th with 18 teams in attendance.
The Wildcats started the season off with a bang, earning 16 teams points to capture the tournament title. Sedro Woolley was in 2nd place with 10 team points.
Of the 24 events in which Wildcats were wrestling, they came away champions in 8 of them. Wildcats also placed 6 wrestlers in 2nd place, 2 in 3rd place and 6 in 4th place.

The next day, Sunday, the Kickoff Novice tournament was also at OHHS. This tournament was for 1st and 2nd year wrestlers only. The Wildcats had 18 wrestlers entered in this tournament and came away with 6 champions. Five others won 2nd place and six 3rd place.
Next weekend the team travels to Arlington.
