JV Football 2012-09-17 at Lake Stevens

Monday the OHHS JV football team traveled to Lake Stevens to try and avenge the Friday varsity loss.

They succeeded.

Neither team scored in the first quarter, but Michael Lanningham caught a Mason Dieter pass for a 32-yard score in the second quarter.  Mark Johnston's kick was good to make it 7-0, but Lake Stevens came back by returning the OH kickoff for a score.

The game was tied 7-7 at halftime, and neither team scored in the 3rd quarter.

In the 4th quarter, Mason Dieter set up a 5-yard Gage Eccleston score with a 64-yard run of his own.  The kick failed after the TD, but the Wildcats won 13-7.

Head JV Coach Craig Nurvic pointed out that Nathaniel Stanford and Keenan Davila each had key interceptions that stopped Lake Stevens drives.

The JV team is on the road again next week, traveling to Everett.  Their next home game is Monday, October 1st against Stanwood.  There is no admission fee for JV football and the concession stand is open.
