Saturday, both the boys and girls Oak Harbor cross country teams participated in the state meet at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco, WA.
As expected, Glacier Peak on the girls event with 66 points. Kamiakin was second with 141. Oak Harbor finished in 11th place with 242 points. The girls individual winner was Amy-Eloise Neal from Glacier peak, who finished in a time of 17:03. Tops for the Wildcats was Christina Wicker in 10th place, then it was Alex Laiblin in 19th place and a time of 19:27. Also in the top 50 was Jonalynn Horn in 39th. Carlie Kenny and Ashley Everett both finished the 5,000 meter race in under 22 minutes. No other girls results are posted at the athletics.net website.
On the boys side, North Central was first with 38 points, Kamiakin second with 75 and Oak Harbor 10th with 284 points. Individually, the 3A winner was Joe Hardy from Seattle Prep, finishing in 15:18. For the Wildcats it was Clayton Richardson in 48th overall in a time of 16:41. John Rodeheffer was 61st in 16:48. Then, all finishing between 17:02 and 17:41 it was Jason Salas, Gavin Stewart, Alex Krantz, Nathan Wagner and Patrick Mayer.
