It was the final home game for the OH girls Monday night as they hosted the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks at OHHS.
The night started well with the freshman team leading 15-12 at the first horn and boosting the lead to 29-21 at halftime. That 8-point halftime lead proved to be the final difference as both teams scored equally in the final two quarters, with OH winning 50-42. Rosie Mooki led the team with 20 points and Taylor Deconzo added 16. Janae Payne added 10 and Suzanne Kaltenbach 4 to complete the OH scoring.
In the main gym, the JV squad scored 17 points in the 2nd quarter to take a 26-20 lead at halftime, but a dry second half allowed the Tommies to catch up and tie the game at the end of regulation time. The Wildcat offensive woes continued into the OT period as the team scored only a single field goal and fell to the visitors 47-41.
At the end of the first quarter of the varsity game, OH trailed by just 4 points, but an 18-6 second quarter put the game away for MP and the 'Cats were never able to recover. In the end it was 55-33 for Pilchuck and the Wildcats were eliminated from any postseason play.
The girls finish up their season Wednesday night at Getchell.
