By the 4th inning the 'Cats had increased their lead to 11-4 and went on to win 16-6 in 5 innings.
Over on the new varsity field at the high school, the Varsity squad led 3-0 going into the final innings, but in the top of the 7th, Stanwood got 4 runs across the plate to take a 4-3 lead. Oak Harbor was able to score in the bottom of the 7th to force extra innings. In the top of the 8th, Stanwood scored another 3, but this time the 'Cats came up short and lost the game 7-4.
