After a long season of blowout losses, the Oak Harbor softball team found their offense - a lot of it - last Tuesday as they pounded host Shorewood 17-5 in varsity and 14-8 in the JV game.
The next day, though, the 'Cats hosted Northwest Conference leader and 15-1 Ferndale. Varsity lost 14-4 and JV 11-4.
The Softball girls have 5 games left for varsity, four for JV, with several opportunities for another win.
May 6th the girls travel to Everett to face the 5-4 Seagulls (2-3 JV)
May 8th the teams host Getchell (4-4 varsity, 5-1 JV)
Friday the 9th it's Stanwood (3-6 varsity, 2-5 JV) coming to town.
The final home game of the year will be May 12th against Shorecrest, who has also struggled this season (0-9 league, 2-14 overall). Shorecrest does not field a JV team.
Finally on May 14th the girls travel to Pilchuck to face the 8-1 Tomahawks.
No photos from this past week, but a photographer will be at both home games this week, Getchell and Stanwood, covering both JV and Varsity games.
