The freshman team did not have a good opening game, falling 36-12 to visiting Monroe. Oak Harbor didn't play badly, but Monroe was excellent at taking advantage of any small Wildcat mistake to secure the win.
The Freshman squad is on the road this week, playing Thursday at Ferndale. Their next home game is on 9/24 against Stanwood.
