It threatened rain early, but by the end of the game there was sunshine, in more ways than one.
Mondays' JV game against Everett started late, as the visitors were late in arriving. Due to this and other factors, the two coaches, along with the officials, agreed on running clock 12-minute quarters for the entire game.
The game itself was all Oak Harbor, as the Wildcat JV team picked up their first win over the season, 27-0.
The 'Cats scored once in each quarter.
At the 1:47 mark in the first, Brycin McIntyre got loose around the left side for a 14 yard score.
In the second, it was Nick Rude punching it through from 2 yards out with 4:19 left in the half.
It was Rude again in the 3rd, snagging a pass from Taylor Kolste for an 11 yard score with 3:34 remaining.
Finally, another Kolste throw, this one good for 54 yards to Josiah Welch at the 9:35 mark in the 4th quarter. The kick attempt was blocked, and the final score was 27-0.
