At home on April Fool's Day, it was no fooling that the JV soccer team whipped the visiting Arlington Eagles 2-1. While the score appeared close, the JV boys dominated the game in almost every way possible. The only thing that prevented the score from being higher for the Wildcats was a series of shots that went wide or high - everywhere but right at the net.
The win, the JV team's first for the season, raised them to 1-1-0 in the young Wesco 3A season.
In varsity action, Arlington scored a goal midway through the 1st half, then added three more before Oak Harbor responded with a JJ Mitchell goal 17 minutes into the second half.
No other scoring followed and the 'Cats lost 4-1, dropping them to 0-1-1 in league play.
