At Burlington-Edison HS Wednesday, the Wildcat United middle school track team did very well at the league prelim meet.
In team scoring, WU got first place in both boys and girls 8th grade scoring, 1st for 7th grade girls and 2nd for 7th grade boys.
Event winners for the boys:
Kevin Schuldt - 8th grade 400m dash
Blake Servatius - 8th grade 1600m run
Peyton Horn - 7th grade shot put
Nathan Merrill - 8th grade javelin
Tyrell Torres - 7th grade javelin
Mason Fields - 7th grade high jump
Dorian Hardin - 8th grade long jump
For the girls:
Leielle Salinger - 7th long jump and 7th 200m dash
Cami Bristow - 8th javelin
7th 4x200m relay (Addy Day, Catherine Wicker, Frances Empinado, Breanna Scheppler)
Jenny Danielson - 7th 1600m run
Mikhaela Cortez - 7th 400m dash
Alexis Hughes - 7th 100m dash
In addition to event winners, the top 4 in each running event and top 6 in field events all move on to next week's finals, to be held Tuesday the 19th at OHHS.
First event at 4:15pm
