Boys tennis update

Both the varsity and JV tennis teams played Friday afternoon, with the JV at home and Varsity on the road against Getchell (for the 2nd time this week)

At MG, again the Wildcats crushed their opponents in sweeping the singles matches but could not pick up a doubles win for the 4-3 team victory.

Jackson Wezeman won 6-1, 6-0, Raymond Paraiso 6-1, 6-0, Rodrigo Columbo 6-0, 6-1 and Calib Byers 6-0, 6-1.

In JV action, Getchell won 4-3, with Oak Harbor picking up wins at 2nd singles (Nathanael Thompson, 6-2, 4-6, 10-8), 4th singles (Clifford Hartley, 7-5, 6-1), and 3rd doubles (Shawn O'Connor and Jacob Schermerhorn, 6-3, 6-3).

The JV team was back on the court Monday afternoon with a match at Arlington and lost 5-2.  Thompson won 5-7, 6-4, 10-8 at 2nd singles as did Hartley at 4th singles, 7-5, 7-6(7-3).

The netters have 3 matches left this month.  On Wednesday the 23rd the varsity heads for Stanwood with JV at home.  The next day it's varsity at home and JV at Pilchuck.  Finally, on 9/29 it's varsity at Everett and JV at home.
