WESCO Freshman championships 5/4

Mariner High School's Goddard Stadium was the site of this year's WESCO Freshman Championships and Oak Harbor, particularly the girls, had and outstanding day.

Top 10 finishers for the boys were:

Josh Crebbin in the 800m run with a time of 2:16.10, just .1 seconds off his personal best.

Jeremey Foster in the shot put, throwing the 12-lb steel ball 36 feet 9.5 inches, just 2.5 inches off his PR.
Dakota Sinchak threw the javelin 118-1, a new PR by over 12 feet - a 10% increase!
Sam Schultz was 6th in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet even

For the girls:
Naomi Walker won the 100m dash in 12.92 seconds (2nd place was nearly a half second behind)
Jalani Bobo was also in the 100 and finished 7th in 14.29
Jember Jansen was 10th in 14.56
Bobo also ran in the 200, finishing 8th in 29.94
Christina Wicker and Jember Jansen finished 6th and 7th in the 400m dash. Christina had a time of 1:03.83 and Jember 1:05.51
Wicker finished 4th in the 800 meter race and not far behind was Hannah Kagey in 7th place. Hannah came in 7th in the 3200m run, her first time running that race this year.

Raeanna Wynne finished in the top 10 in both hurdles races. In the 100 she was 3rd with a PR time of 17.54 and in the 300 she was 9th in 54.76 seconds.
Joem Evangelista finished 10th in the 100m hurdles

The OH 4x100 relay team made up of Chylan Bass, Brianna Quinn, O'Hinae Welch and Ciera Wiser came in 4th place in 57.40
The 4x200 relay with team members Naomi Walker, Jember Jansen, Jalani Bobo and Raeanna Wynne finished 2nd in 1:55.89.
Megan Duhrkopf, Jember Jansen, Hannah Kagey and Christina Wicker ran the 4x400 relay and earned 5th place.

Danielle Teasley got 4th in the shot put with a toss of 24-1
Elizabeth Adkins was 2nd in the discus at 87-1
Ciera Wiser was 2nd in the javelin, hitting 100 feet even for the first time, adding nearly 10 feet to her PR. She was just 2 feet away from winning the event.
Naomi Walker placed 3rd in the long jump with a leap of 15-1.5. Brianna Quinn was 10th with 12-8.5
Chylan Bass came in 4th in the triple jump in 28-8.75

The WESCO JV championships are today, Wednesday, at Snohomish High School.
