The final weekend of spring youth soccer was last weekend at Ft. Nugent Park with mostly just the U-6 and U-8 teams playing.
Soccer will start up again in the fall with another group of fun, hard-playing kids.
Photos from the final week include:
24 photos of the GU-6 Red Cobras vs Pink Pinkettes. The Pinkettes are sponsored by Angelo's Cafe on Pioneer Way.
25 photos of the BU-6 Little Limes vs Blue Dragons. The Limes are sponsored by Van Cleve Optical and the Dragons by Martins Auto Electric.
26 photos of the BU-8 Lime Dragons vs Blue Stingrays. The Stingray are sponsored by The Oak Harbor Auto Center.
36 photos of the BU-6 Red Cobras vs Grey Sonics.
23 photos of the Green Dragons vs Blue Sharks. The Sharks are sponsored by Best Friends Veterinary Center and the Dragons by Les Schwab Tires.
A real bees nest was stirred up when the Black Wasps played the Green Hornets. The Hornets fittingly have All Island Pest Control as their sponsor and the Wasps have Nautilus Construction. 22 photos are posted HERE.
Finally it was the Blue Ocean vs the Blue Dolphins, although the Dolphin uniforms looked green next to the Ocean uniforms. The Ocean has David Walker, Attorney as their sponsor and the Dolphins have Pediatric Associates. 20 photos of the final game are posted HERE.
It was a fun year for all the players, and not a little bit of sweat and tears were left on the field after each game.
