Monday afternoon the Oak Harbor softball team headed to Anacortes for a pair of games against the Seahawks.
The JV squad got things started with a bang, smacking the very first pitch for a base hit. The game was called in the 4th inning due to time constraints, with Oak Harbor winning 10-5.
The varsity team wasn't as strong on offense. Anacortes jumped out to a 5-0 first-inning lead, and the score stayed that way until the bottom of the 4th inning, when the Seahawks added 6 more runs to end the game 11-0.
Oak Harbor got only 1 hit, courtesy of Taylor Heidt.
The next two games are on the road, with trips to Everett and Arlington.
On Friday, April 3rd, the girls return home to Stanwood, with the varsity at OHHS and the JV at the Hillcrest field.
After the weekend off, they're right back in action, hosting Marysville-Pilchuck at home on Monday the 6th.
