For their first game of the new season, the OHHS softball team faced a big challenge in hosting defending state champs Sedro-Woolley.
While the pitching was even, with the duo of Emily Hunt and Amanda Pavey giving up just 4 earned runs, errors in the field led to 10 more runs for the Cubs as they won 14-3.
On the plus side, the Wildcats overcame some excellent Sedro pitching to score 3 runs and Abby Rankin went 2-3 at the plate, scoring once and tallying 2 RBIs.
The JV score was not available.
