On Friday the 18th, the Whidbey Wildcat Wrestling team traveled to LaVenture MS in Mt. Vernon for a 'friendly' dual meet with the Mt. Vernon Pitbulls.
No scores were kept, with the whole point of the meet being to get as much live wrestling for as many kids as possible.
The wrestlers seemed to enjoy themselves, getting some good wrestling in without the pressures associated with a tournament. The matches were fun to watch as well as there were many new wrestlers getting on the mat.
Sunday the team is at a novice tournament in Stanwood, then they take a break from tournaments until December.
A short video clip is posted HERE.
49 photos of various wrestlers are posted HERE.
