Boys Tennis 2015-10-13 vs Everett

There's a reason they're the best.

Showing just how they won the Wesco North, Everett capped their regular season run by drilling the Oak Harbor High School boys' tennis squad 6-1 Wednesday.

The win left the Seagulls at 12-2 overall, a flawless 10-0 in league play, while the Widlcats finished 6-7, 4-6.

Both squads now send their top singles and doubles players to the district tourney in Arlington Oct. 20-21.

1st singles -- Jackson Wezeman lost to Ulises Aceves-Castaneda 6-1, 6-1

2nd singles --Rodrigo Columbo lost to Holden Fox 7-6(5), 2-6, 1-0(2)

3rd singles -- Jared Hunt lost to Malcom Fox 6-4, 6-2

4th singles -- Matthew Hallahan lost to Ryan Burt 6-3, 6-1

1st doubles -- Raymond Paraiso/Calib Byers beat Jacob Burton/Spencer Knapp 6-4, 4-6, 6-3

2nd doubles -- Matt Molitor/Aziya Sanders lost to AJ Pignataro/Jacob Rotert 6-1, 6-0

3rd doubles -- Sidney Thomas/Jae-Kyung Kwak lost to Alex Pignataro/Dan Peterson 6-0, 6-2

JV:

Clifford Hartley beat David Bond 6-3, 7-6 (9-7)

Nathanael Thompson lost to Andrew Olson 6-0, 6-1

Trent Cone lost to Eyler Anderson 6-1, 6-1

Luke Martin lost to Charlie Havener 6-4, 6-1

Matt Kolden/John Bird lost to Chaz Tondell/Nick Findley 6-0, 6-4

Jacob Schermerhorn/Jordan George lost to Jon Murphy/Jon Sisneros 6-1, 6-2

Royce Abuda/Kenzo Sturm lost to Cannan Johnson/Dylan Bates 6-1, 4-6, 10-6

That ends the 2015 regular season.  Next for the 'Cats is the Divisional Tournament at Arlington HS on Oct 20-21, then the District Tournament at Jackson HS on the 27th and 28th.
