Last Saturday, the Oak Harbor Youth Football League kicked off the 2012 season with the annual Jamboree at Burlington Edison HS.
Each team played 3-5 scrimmages against other teams from the North Cascades Youth Football League. One team would start on offense and stay on offense for 10 minutes, then the two team would switch for another 10 minutes.
The morning session, which went from 9am to 1pm featured the older teams - Junior and Senior. For OH it was the Pumas, Jaguars and Wildcats.
In the afternoon it was the younger players - midget and Peewee. The Lynx, Bobcats, Cougars and Panthers for Oak Harbor.
The regular season starts this Saturday with a slate of 5 games at Ft. Nugent Park in Oak Harbor. Games start every two hours beginning at 9am.
