GBB 2012-01-04 vs Glacier Peak

The Glacier Peak Grizzlies came to Oak Harbor Wednesday night undefeated in league play - for all three teams. Their Freshman/C team, JV team and Varsity teams were all 6-0 in league play. They all ended the night 7-0 at the expense of the Wildcats.

In the dome, Tierra White led the Wildcats with 5 points and Irene Gribble added 4. Kenna Prosch, Jessica Hollins and KC Winfield scored 2 each in the 53-15 loss.

For a while, it looked like the JV team might keep up with GP. Morgan Young scored 6 in the first quarter which ended 15-6, but the floodgates opened in the second when the Grizzlies scored 24 to take a commanding 39-8 halftime lead and won 58-14. Young's 6 points led the team. Liz Lym scored 4 and Brook Peplinski and Sierra Southwick 2 each.

It was all Glacier Peak from start to finish. Although DJ scored the first points of the game, GP dominated, winning 61-20. Jackson finished with 8 points, scoring in each quarter. Jalani Bobo and Annie Leete scored 3 each and Tatiana Cumming, Kelsey Rankin and Ciera Wiser had 2 each.

The first half of the season ends Friday when the girls travel to Marysville-Getchell to take on the Chargers. The Getchell varsity and JV squads are winless in league play while the "C" team won a single game.
