Special Coupeville Edition, BBB 2012-01-05 vs Granite Falls

Granite Falls traveled to Coupeville Thursday for varsity and JV matchups against the Wolves.

In the JV game, things were close in the first quarter, which ended in an 8-8 tie, but in the second, the Tigers took advantage of the short-handed Wolves and went on a 21-9 run to take a 29-17 lead into the locker room at the half and never looked back, winning 67-36.

Freshman Joel Walstad led the team with 12 points, Caleb Valko added 7 and Morgan Payned 6. Carl Caidic finished with 4 and Drew Chan and Joshua Wilsey 2 each.

The varsity team was also dominated by GF, who led 22-10 at the first break and won 70-28.

Freshman Taylor Ebersole and Sophomore Nick Streubel led the Wolves with 6 points each. Aaron Curtin and Gavin O'Keefe added 4 each and Drew Chan, Mitch Pelroy, Carson Risner and Caleb Valko had 2 each.
