Tuesday night the OH girls soccer team ran into a buzzsaw named Meadowdale.
The Maverick JV squad came into the game with a 7-1 record and averaging 4 goals per game. Tuesday they added another win and 6 more goals by blanking the Wildcats 6-0. While the OH girls played hard and never gave up, Meadowdale was just too strong.
In the varsity game, Meadowdale showed why they are the #1 ranked team in the state. The Wildcats were missing nearly half their starting lineup and had only one substitute available for the game. Again our girls played hard and didn't quit, but Meadowdale seemed to score at will, hitting 7 goals to improve their record to 9-0.
The girls take on the 3-3-3 Shorewood Thunderbirds Thursday night, then take on 1-6-1 Mountlake Terrace Hawks next week on Tuesday in non-league matchups.
JV and Varsity photos are posted HERE.
