Student-Staff Basketball 2012-03-02
Friday night members of the Oak Harbor School District staff took on seniors (and a junior) from the OHHS student body in the annual game for bragging rights.
The staff came out hot, building an early lead, but the students came back and cut the staff lead to just 2 points, 27-25 at halftime.
At the end of the third it was 41-38 for the students.
With time running down, the staff pulled a rope-a-dope play and Eric Collins sank a 3-pointer from the baseline to tie the game and send it to overtime.
With just 34 seconds left, the staff was again down by 3, but another baseline shot by Collins went off the rim and the students then scored twice more to win 74-67.
Photos from the game are posted HERE. There is no charge for these photos. Feel free to right-click and download and post to Facebook. The only charge will be if you want to order prints, and they will be at the wholesale rate.
