Coach Mike Washington of the Oak Harbor High School boys basketball team earned an award from the Snohomish County Basketball Officials Association as a result of his commitment to sportsmanship in the Wildcats' game against Snohomish on January 23rd.
With the award comes a nomination for the Norm Lowery Sr. Coach of the Year award from the SCBOA.

Coach Washington wins Sportsmanship award

It is extremely easy to be a good sport when things are going well and the wins are piling up. It takes a lot of character and commitment to being a role model to stay as positive as coach Washington has this season.
