At the state tournament for swimming at the King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, several Oak Harbor swimmers found success.
The 200 medley relay team of John Hu, Yale Rosen, Brandon Vagt and Tyler Schell finished in 10th place overall with a time of 1:43.17
Tyler Schell finished 12th overall in the 200 freestyle in 1:50.38
Both Hu brothers placed in the 200IM - John in 2nd, by .61 seconds, and Price in 16th.
The Hu brothers also competed against each other in the 100 butterfly, with John finishing 6th and Price 12th.
Tyler Schell swam the 500 free, finishing in 16th with a time of 4:58.92.
The 200 free relay finished 11th. That team was made up of Matt Bolte, Yale Rose, John Hu, and Tyler Schell.
Jacob Jepsen had a time of 59.24 in the 100 back, and his placing was not listed.
Yale Rosen finished 7th in the 100 breast, and it was a close finish as at least 4 swimmer touched the wall within half-second.
Congratulations to all the swimmers, whose hard work paid off. The team had a lot of success this year, and will be returning several talented, experienced swimmers next year.
