Friday's varsity football game & new features

Don't forget, the varsity football game at Everett Stadium this Friday doesn't start until 8pm, as it's the nightcap of a double header. First up is Cascade against Mariner, which should be a pretty good game.

Also, Thursday will be a big sports day, with all 5 fall sports in action.
Football - the freshman team travels to Monroe to complete the football sweep of the Bearcats
Cross Country - the first meet of the year will be at the Wirth Farm on Boon Rd.
Girl's Swim - at the Vanderzicht Pool against 0-0Kamiak
Girls Soccer - at home vs 1-1 Stanwood
Volleyball - at home against 2-0 Kamiak

Pick a sport (or 2) and cheer on the Wildcats!

The Oak Harbor Sports report is adding a couple of new features.

First, there will be some sort of poll posted each weekend. The poll can be found at the top of the right hand column. Take 10 seconds and add your opinion.

Second, we're going to be adding player profiles. Each Friday, look for a profile of a JV player, and each Monday a varsity profile. If there is a player YOU would like to see profiled, either leave a comment or send an email to oakharborsportsreport@comcast.net.

First up for Friday is tennis player Geoff Worley.

Finally, don't forget to leave your comments! Feel free to get a discussion going in the comments or rate the video clips.
