Youth football 2010-09-11

3 teams were in action on the Ft. Nugent fields last Saturday, the Cougars, Jaguars and Lynx. The Bobcats had the weekend off while the Pumas, Wildcats and Panthers all had away games.

The midget Cougars started the home stand by taking a 6-0 lead at halftime over Arlington Blue, but the Eagles fought back and were able to score 24 unanswered points to win 24-6. The loss puts the Cougars at 1-1 for the season.

The Jaguars also played Arlington Blue, but in the junior division. They played tough and had some letdowns, but triumphed with a 12-0 victory. The win puts the Jags at 2-0 for the season.

In the final game of the day, the Lynx just couldn't get any momentum on offense, losing to Mt. Vernon Green 26-6. The Lynx are now 0-2.

In the away games, the Pumas lost at Burlington Blue 31-25, The Wildcats lost at Lakewood 33-0 and the Panthers won at Mt. Vernon Black 34-0. The Pumas and Wildcats are now 0-2 and the Panthers are 2-0
