Cross Country at Baker Invite

The Girls cross country team continues to justify their state ranking (#7) by winning the 16-team Mt. Baker Invitational this past Saturday.

Addy Royal was the first Wildcat across the finish line, posting a time of 19:24 over the 5K course for 6th place overall. 7th and 8th overall were Allison Duvenez and Christina Wicker. Abby Leete was 10th, Alex Laiblin 14th and Hannah Bressler 18th, all out of 111 runners. The varsity girls' point total came in at 40, with the 2nd place team (Burlington) scoring 109.

Taylor Von Grey won the girls JV race with a time of 21:03 while Heather Dale, Emily Bain and McKenzie Jackson were also in the top 20.

On the boys side, Coupeville's Tyler King won the boys varsity race in 15:05, nearly a minute faster than the 2nd place finisher. Josh Schrum was the top OH finisher with a time of 17:59 adn 55th out of 120.

Caley Powers and Clay Richardson finished 2nd and 11th out of 97 in the Freshman boys race.
