The Oak Harbor Wildcat boys basketball team lost twice to Shorewood during the regular season, 61-44 at Shorewood and 67-50 at home.

Wednesday night the two teams faced each other in the opening round of the District 1 tournament, and it looked like the third game was going to go the way of the other two, as Shorewood grabbed an early 11-2 lead and led 47-37 starting the 4th period.

In that 2nd half, Mike Washington picked up where his brother left off. Drew scored 15 points in the first half then Mike scored 15 in the 2nd and the 'Cats went on a 15-5 run in the 4th period to tie the game late, then Jojo Webster scored on a steal to give OH the lead, 54-52. A final 3-pointer by Drew ensure a Widlcat win, 57-52.

The 'Cats go to Glacier Peak friday night to take on the Grizzlies. The winner of that game goes on to play the winner of the Mountlake Terrace/Shorecrest game for the district title. If OH loses, they will play the loser of the Ferndale/Everett game.

Drew Washington finished the game with 24 points to lead all scorers while Mike ended with 22. Matt Burgoyne scored 5 and Zach Gibbs, Kevawn Brooks and Webster each netted 2 points.
