Middle School Track 2011-05-18 @ OHHS

Wednesday last week Anacortes, Mt. Vernon Christian School, Wildcat United (OHMS + NWMS) and Mt. Vernon (LaVenture + Mt. Baker) all came to Oak Harbor for the West Preliminary track meet.

Names are as supplied with the results. If any names are incorrect or misspelled, send an email and it will be corrected.

In the 7th grade girls meet, Oak Harbor won 9 of the 13 events and captured 2nd place in two more on their way to a win. The girls scored 147 points to 2nd place Anacortes' 134. Placers were:

Hurdles - 1 Watts (18.28)
100m dash - 2 Bunch, 4 Mosuko
200m dash - 1 Watts (27.69), 3 Mosuko
400m dash - 1 Kaltenbach (1:08.73), 3 Dodge
800m run - 1 Kaltenbach (3:05)

4x100m relay - 1 WU 57.66
4x200m relay - 1 WU 2:12.50
Shot put - 5 Alamo, 6 Ferrell
Discus - 3 Alamo, 6 Ferrell

Long Jump - 1 Mooki (12-7)
High Jump - 1 Anderson (4-8)

The 7th grade boys were even more dominant, winning every running event and scoring 189 points. Anacortes was 2nd with 101. Individual placers were:

In the 8th grade girl portion of the meet, Anacortes was first with 145 points. Wildcat United was second with 126 and the WU girls won half of the events.

Finally the boys 8th grade team, while winning only 5 events, used depth to win the meet with 168 points to Anacortes' 144.
