Team-wise, it was not a good day for the Oak Harbor boys swimmers. None of the 5 OH swimmers, competing in 5 individual and 2 relay events, qualified for the 2nd day of competition.
The top 8 of Friday's preliminary heats move on to Saturday's finals.
Senior Caley Powers competed in a total of four events - the 50 free, 100 fly, 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free relay. He was 17th in both his individual events, the medley relay was 20th and free relay 23rd. Joining Powers in the relay events were brother Dakota, Micah Geist and Cedric Cabigting.
Cabigting also swam the 100 backstroke, finishing 22nd overall in 1:00.07
Geist swam the 200 Individual Medley, also finishing 22nd. His time was 2:15.84
Joe Gorman was 22nd in the 500 freestyle, posting a time of 5:17.52.
