Girls Tennis 3-26 vs Stanwood - JV and Varsity

The JV girls were at Stanwood Thursday afternoon for a match against the Spartan. The following was reported by JV coach Garry Brown:

"Stanwood gave OH a little tanning behind the woodshed on a otherwise pleasant spring day at the Stanwood courts. Highlights were the play of 3rd and 4th singles players Kate Kapitonova, and Cassie Gianino. They both took their matches to 3rd set match tiebreakers, with Kate losing a tough match in the tiebreaker and Cassie puling one out in the end. Otherwise, it was a long afternoon for the Wildcats." Out of 12 matches played, only one was won by a Wildcat, when Cassie Gianino beat her opponent 6-3, 5-7, (10-8).

In varsity action at OHHS, it was a little closer, but the same overall result. Erin Neilon (6-2, 6-1) and Molly Deleon (60-, 6-2) were the sole OH winners.
