Oak Harbor Youth Football, 10-3-09

There were only three games at the Ft. Nugent Field on Saturday and, none of the 3 teams came away winners.

The first game was the Panthers vs Arlington Blue. The teams traded scores in the first quarter, with Arlington on top 16-14, but that was all the scoring the Panthers could muster. Arlington went on to win the game 50-14.

The second game wasn't much better, with the Lynx losing to Arlington Blue 19-0. It was closer than the score indicated, as the Lynx defense kept Arlington in check most of the game. The first score was a return of the opening kickoff, and the other two, one early in the 1st quarter, one towards the end of the game, both came on a reverse handoff.

In the nightcap, which actually started at 1pm, the senior Wildcat team took on Friday Harbor. The 'Cats got on the board first by scoring a safety in the first quarter, but that was it for the Wildcat scoring, but Friday Harbor was able to get across the goal line and won the game.
