Boys and Girls Golf, week ending 2013-03-29

Tuesday afternoon the Wildcat boys golf team hosted Everett, Stanwood and both Marysville schools at the Whidbey Golf and Country Club.  It was a great day for golf, dry, with little wind, not too hot and not too cold.

In the end, Everett came away with team honors, carding a 415.  Next was Stanwood then Getchell.  OH came in 4th with 449, then Pilchuck with 457.  Raiden Poe and Jerin Applegate were the top Wildcats, each shooting an 86.  Mac Kerfoot was two strokes behind with an 88.  Hunter Adams shot a 94, Steven Timm 95 and Calab Knaack 96.

The boys have an away match on April 10th, the return home on April 11st against Everett, GP, Getchell and Shorewood.

Photos from the boys match are posted HERE.

On Wednesday, the girls were at Cedarcrest Golf Course, taking on Glacier Peak and Marysville Pilchuck.

Glacier Peak won the team event, scoring 239 over 9 holes.  OH was second with 293 and Pilchuck 3rd with 349.  Junior Annie Leete earned medalist honors with a 41.  Next for the Wildcats was Cassidy Gurich with a 59, Katie Brockway with a 61, KC Winfield with a 63 and Freshman Rosie Mooki at 69.
