State track results

Here are the final results from the 2013 State Championship track meet at Mt. Tahoma High School.

On the boys side, Oak Harbor finished 22nd out of 44 teams.

Individually, Chris Hailer finished 2nd in state in the high jump, clearing 6 feet 6 inches.  The winner cleared 6-10.

John Rodeheffer was 11th in the 1600 and 6th in the 3200m run.  He set new personal bests in both races, and knocked over 13 seconds off his previous 3200m time!

Clayton Richardson was 12th in the 1600, just .69 seconds behind Rodeheffer and set a new PR of 4:27.69

In shot put, Dayne Herron threw 47-3 to finish in 12th place.  Teammate Jeremy Foster was 14th with a throw of 46-9.75

The girls were 32nd out of 45 teams.

Christina Wicker ran the 800m race in 2:20.68 - good enough for 7th place.

Alex Laiblin ran the 3200m in 11:17.32, a new PR, and earned 6th place.

The girls 4x200 relay team consisting of Sierra Seabolt, Christina Wicker, Matti Miesle and Jessica Hollins finished in 15th place.

Over in Cheney, Coupeville sent only a girls squad, they came away with points, enough for a 26th place finish out of 48 teams.

Madison Tisa McPhee was 3rd in the 100 hurdles, finishing in 16.23 and the 4x200 relay, made up of Tisa McPhee, Jai'Lysa Hoskins, Sylvia Hurlbut and Makana Stone was 5th.

Coupeville also sent a 4x100 relay team that finished 11th in prelims.

What's promising for Coupeville is that two of the runners in both relays were freshmen and have 3 more years to improve and meld as a team.
