Sunday the Whidbey Wildcat Wrestling club took 19 young boys and girls to Burlington for the Skagit Valley Yellowjacket Novice Challenge. This tournament is for 1st and 2nd year wrestlers only.
Out of the 19 wrestlers, 17 placed in the top 3 of their bracket, with 5 wrestlers getting first place medals.

Youth Football 2014-11-08
Last Saturday the Oak Harbor Wildcat PeeWee team faced off against Stanwood Red in the annual North Cascade Youth Football League super bowl, held at Mt. Vernon High School.
The Wildcats came into the game with just a single loss, a 13-29 score against the same Stanwood team.
Although the PeeWees played hard, leading 14-12 at one point in the 2nd half, the Spartans were able to get one more score to win 18-14.
In the later games, Sedro Blue won the midget trophy, beating Burlington for the second time.
The Junior game was Stanwood White vs Sedro White, with Sedro winning.
It was Mt. Vernon vs Burlington in the finale with Burlington supplying a lopsided victory over the Bulldogs.
