Again, both the 7-8 grade and 5-6 grade girls AAU basketball teams were in action on Saturday.
The 7th/8th grade team was up first at LaVenture Middle School against a small and inexperienced team from Orcas Island. Even with the regular starters on the bench, the Cats jumped to a 12-0 first quarter lead, and continued to dominate, finishing the game with a 43-8 score.
The 5th/6th grade team was at Skagit Valley College playing the Lakers. The Cats only had 4 players for the entire game, but the Lakers were essentially an elementary school team, with most of the girls in the 4th or 5th grade.
Even with only 4 players, the Cats were able to lead 10-2 at halftime. The 2nd half was a repeat of the first as Oak Harbor went on to win 20-4.
Some video clips of the two games are posted HERE.
