The boys tennis teams were in action two days in a row last week and played well.
On Wednesday the 19th the JV was at Marysville Pilchuck while the varsity was at home.
In JV action, again the forfeit at 3rd doubles proved the difference in the match. Oak Harbor took 3 of the 4 singles matches and nearly made it a sweep, but lost both doubles matches that were played. Singles winners were Isaac Deleon (6-2, 6-0), Caleb Byers (7-5, 6-3) and Alex Smith (6-3, 6-0). At first singles, Kyle Martin played a hard and close match before falling 6-4, 7-6(7-5).
On the same day at OHHS varsity boys took 6 of the 7 matches from the Tomahawks. The singles scores were: William Southard 6-0, 6-2, David Kusnick 6-1, 6-2, Carter Saar 6-0, 6-0 and Harrison Miller 6-3, 6-3.
In doubles, the Wildcats picked up wins at 2nd and 3rd doubles. The team of Casiano Atienza and Antonio Unpingco won 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 while Tom Dale and Jacob Nelson won 6-0, 6-1. Ziwei Peng and Jose Dimaculangan played close at 1st doubles, but lost 6-3, 7-5.

On Thursday the two tennis teams ran into a buzzsaw named Shorewood. When the dust settled, every Shorewood match, both varsity and JV, ended with the T-birds winning in straight sets.
