The fall youth soccer season kicked off Saturday morning with a full slate of games at the Ft. Nugent Fields.
Due to other commitments, it's probably that not every team will be photographed this season. Because of this, the focus will be on the younger teams - U-6 and U-8.
As usual, there was a lot of sweat and tears left behind on the field, but it was a beautiful day to be outside.
Also, as usual, there are some very creative and unusual team names this year, and there are some new team sponsors as well!
Below are links to photos of most of the U-6 teams.
BU-6 White Fighting Soccer Pandas vs Yellow Lions
BU-6 Green Wildcats vs Red Ninjas
BU-6 Lime Green Superheroes vs Blue Rhinos
GU-6 Green Gators vs Yellow Bumblebees. The Bumblebees are sponsored by the Whidbey Island Chiropractic Center.
GU-6 Pink Sharks vs the Lt. Blue team. The Lt. Blue team hadn't picked a name as of game time, but are sponsored by Whidbey Island Bank. The Sharks are sponsored by Denise White of Windermere real estate.
GU-6 Marooon Ponies vs Lt. Blue Girls. The "Girls" are sponsored by the Whidbey Party Store.
Action continues every Saturday morning through October 27th, with games starting at 9am.
