JV baseball recap from last week

The following was sent by JV coach Day about last week's JV baseball games.

Tuesday was a 6-1 win at Monroe

Dimitri Munoz pitched a complete game allowing six hits but only one walk and one run while striking out 7.

Peter Franssen was 1-2 with two walks and a three-run HR. He scored three runs.

Sam Glavick was 2-4 with an RBI double and a two-run home HR.

Josh Schrum was 1-1 with a double and scored on Peter Franssen's home run.



Wednesday was an 11-1 win over Cascade

Jack Richter pitched another complete game (5 innings) allowing one run on four hits. He walked one and struck out four.

Andrew Snavely was 2-2 with a walk two HR's and three RBI's.

Glenn Meuller hit a hard single to the left field fence.

Grant Schroeder was 2-3 with two RBI's.

Peter Franssen was 3-4 with two singles, two runs, two RBI's and the game ending walk-off Home Run in the bottom of the 5th.


Last night's game was a 17-16 loss to Cascade.

After getting six runs in top of the first, we gave up 16 unanswered runs over the next two innings, including 12 in the 2nd. Over the next three innings we battled back to a 16-16 tie. Cascade scored one in the bottom of the 6th to end the rain-shortened game.

Rodrick Murphy was 2-3 and scored two runs.

David Kusnick scored three times after reaching base on a walk, being hit by a pitch, and a fielder's choice. He added a single in the top of the 6th.

Mike Maletto was 2-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.
