MSBBB 2012-01-10 OHMS vs LaVenture

At OHMS on Tuesday, the Panthers hosted LaVenture and left the gym with a sweep.

In the 7th grade game, OHMS led 12-7 at the first buzzer, but LaVenture came back, taking a 19-17 lead at halftime. Opening the 2nd half, the Panthers went on an 11-2 run to retake the lead 28-21, and added more in the 4th, winning 48-28.

The Panthers led throughout the 8th grade game, but liberal substituting by coach Nuqui made the game closer that it otherwise would have been. OHMS led 16-10 at the end if the 1st period and 26-16 at halftime before finishing with a 57-50 win.

The Panthers finish the season with a game at home vs Cascade on Jan 17th then travel to Cascade the next day for their final game.

The Cougars of North Whidbey finish their season on the road, traveling to Anacortes on the 17th and to to LaVenture on the 19th.
