Wrestling 2012-01-24 at Meadowdale vs Meadowdale and Mountlake Terrace

Due to a missed date due to the snow last week, the OHHS wrestling team wrestled in two meets last Tuesday night at Meadowdale. The first was the make up, against Mountlake Terrace. The Hawks did not field a JV team, so there are only varsity results.

Out of the 14 weight classes, Terrace forfeited five to the Wildcats. Of the 9 matches wrestled, Oak Harbor won 8, 6 by pin. The final score was 72-3 in favor of OH.

In the Meadowdale matchup, there were 12 JV matches. Oak Harbor won 9 of them, with Ben Pralle, Chris Carter, CJ Shavers, Jen Fremd, Kekai Tarrant all winning their matches by pin. Shavers and Carter wrestled twice and won by pin both times.

While Oak Harbor dominated the varsity event, Meadowdale was still able to score team points against the Wildcats.

Jahleel Vester, Mark Johnston, Josh Crebbin and Jacob Dugin all won by pin. Johnston's pin was probably the fastest of the year - he needed just 14 seconds.

Other OH varsity winners were Cody Fakkema (tech fall), David Payne (6-5) and Collin Higingbotham (10-7)

The final score in the Meadowdale meet was 47-24 in favor of OHHS.
