Youth football 9/22 and 9/29

Saturday, September 22nd, 6 of the 7 Oak Harbor youth football teams were in action with 3 teams playing at home.

On the road, the Jaguars struggled against Burlington at the corn field, falling 22-6. 

Right after that game, the Bobcats took to the field and hung tough with the Tigers before losing 12-6.

The other peewee team, the Lynx, was at Arlington Gold and lost 27-6.

At Ft. Nugent, the Cougars continued their winning ways, beating Burlington blue 24-13, but it was the only Oak Harbor victory of the day as the Pumas lost to Burlington Gold 42-6 and the Panthers fell to the midget Burlington Gold team 45-18.

Things got a little better on September 29th, but only on the road.

At home, the Jaguars played the first game of the day and had the closest score, losing 18-8.  Following them, the senior Wildcat team lost 44-6 to Burlington, the Lynx lost 31-0 to Lakewood and the Bobcats fell 30-6 to Burlington Blue.

At Mt. Vernon Green, the midget Cougars remained undefeated, winning 36-28. 

At Sedro Woolley, the Pumas won 24-12 and Panthers won 30-13.

There are four games next weekend at Ft. Nugent, starting at 9am.  The Cougars, Wildcats, Jaguars and Bobcats all play at home.  It will be the last regular season game for the Bobcats.
