A report from Coach Falcon on last weekend's girls tournament at Jackson High School.
"Here are the results
for the Lady Wolfpack Tourny for last weekend. It was a tough
tournament this year. Some of the highlights include
Isabel Garcia wrestling
three round and losing at the end to the state runner-up in the semis
from Puyallup (Franich). Also versus the Arlington Girl where Garcia had
a single leg and Arlington did a roll through
and She continued the roll and pinned the Arlington girl.
C. Woodworth makes a
great move in the first round and beats the Squalicum girl. Takes a
close loss at the end to the Mt Baker Girl which she had pinned in the 3rd round but lost the match to points.
Wrestles the last two matches with heart and loses to Skyline by 4 points taking 7th in the tourn.
Meredith (Bain) comes out and
major decision versus the Yelm Girl 12-1 then Runs in to the # one
seed who pins her in the first round. She lost a close one in the
consolation to the Lynden girl.
P. Woodworth continued
to improve her wrestling skill but stumbled at the end of her first
match losing a close one. She went into the JV Round Robin where she
wrestled tough but could not pull a win.
Faith Haley and Alexia Mobley both went two and out in the Tourney.
