Youth football 2012-09-08

There were some big scores this past weekend, unfortunately not many of them were in Oak Harbor's favor.

Six of the seven OHYFL teams were in action, with the midget Cougars having a bye.

There was only one game played at the Ft. Nugent field, with the Panthers hosting Mt. Vernon black, and it did not go well, with the Panthers falling 36-0.

The seniors were away against Bellingham Blue, who won 32-12.

Arlington Blue hosted the peewee Lynx and beat them 39-0.

Three games were played at Mt. Vernon High School.  The Pumas played MV Black and dominated from beginning to end, beating the Bulldogs 40-0.  The other junior team, the Jaguars, had a tougher time, but got in gear in the 2nd half to win 40-20.  The last game of the day was the peewee Bobcats who lost 19-0 to the host Bulldogs.

Next week the Pumas have a bye, the Panthers (5pm) and Bobcats (3pm) have games at Ft. Nugent Field.

The Lyns are at Sedro, the Cougars at MV Black and the Jaguars and Wildcats are both at Lakewood HS.
