JV and C-Team football vs Everett

Monday afternoon the OHHS JV team traveled to Everett in hopes of continuing on the success of Friday night's varsity game.

They did.

Gage Eccleston scored from 12 yards out, Bernard Deguzman from 3 yards out and Mason Dieter on a QB sneak from the 2 yard made it 21-0 at halftime.

Eccleston scored again in the 2nd half, and Dieter completed a pass to Zac Jones for a 2-point conversion to make it 28-0.

The defense added a safety the Deveraux scored late to complete the Wildcat shutout of the Seagulls.

Due to personnel losses, Oak Harbor no longer has a Freshman football squad, but now sports a "C" team, with roster holes filled by JV sophomores.

They hosted the Seagulls Wednesday afternoon and completed the 3-game sweep of Everett by winning 38-6.

Everett got the opening kickoff, but punted after just 3 plays.  Starting on their own 40 yard line, the Wildcats neede djust 5 plays to score, a 16-yard run by Savion Passmore.  The first drive was marked by 3 penalties, including back-to-back false starts.

Oak Harbor scored again in the first quarter, a 15-yard run by Dyllan Harris.  Both PAT kicks failed, but OH led 12-0 at the first break.

Wildcat scoring continued in the second quarter with Passmore scoring again, this time from 12 yards out in what was only a 3-play drive.  This time the kick was good, making it 19-0 for the 'Cats.

Donovan Sellgren scored next for the Wildcats, breaking away for a 70-yard romp to pay dirt.  Now it's 26-0 Oak Harbor.

On the ensuing kickoff, the Everett returner was able to tiptoe down the sideline and was finally brought down just short of the goal line.  With a first-and-goal at the OH 1 yard line, it still took the Seagulls 3 plays to score.  Their PAT failed, leaving the score 26-6.

Harris scored in the 3rd on a 19-yard run to make it 32-6, then Passmore stopped a Seagull drive by intercepting a pass at the OH 46.

Starting the 4th quarter up 32-6, Harris ran the ball 20 yards down to the Seagull 2 yard line, setting up Tanner Walker who put it in the end zone on the next play.

The game ended with a spectacular sack by the Wildcat defense, with OH winning 38-6.
