BBB 2013-01-22 vs Everett

It was a triple win Tuesday for the Oak Harbor Boys' teams when the Everett Seagulls came to town.

In the dome, the two teams played tight in the first half, with Everett holding a slight 15-12 edge at halftime.  The 'Cats came out on fire in the second half, going on a 15-2 tear in the 3rd period and scoring another 14 in the 4th to capture the 41-26 win.  Sean Erskine was unstoppable in the 2nd half where he scored 17 of his 19 points.  Diangelo McKinney added 12, Elijah Smith, back from an injury, scored 8 and Tanner Walker scored 2.

The JV game was a nailbiter all the way.  The game was tied at 14 at the end of the 1st quarter, OH led 22-20 at halftime and 32-29 starting the fourth.  In the final period, "JJ" Johnson dropped a three-pointer and added 3 free throws as OH ended with a 46-40 win.  Johnson finished with 12 points total and Cortez Ridley added 11.  Connor Parmenter scored 8, Gage Eccleston 7, Isaiah Rennes 6 and Jacob Sturdevant 2.

While Oak Harbor controlled the varsity game, it was far from an easy victory.  Only five players scored, 4 of them in double figures as the Wildcats won a hard-fought 67-55 game.  Drew Washington was tops with 26 points, Jojo Webster scored 13, Gabe Groenig and Dayne Herron 10 each and Dyllan Harris 8.

The Wildcat wind up their 2012-2013 regular season with home games this Friday the 25th, at Pilchuck on Tuesday the 29th, then end it with Senior Night on the 30th hosting Marysville-Getchell.
